Western Saddle Fitting
Buying\fitting western saddles??
i need to buy a western saddle. how do i know if the saddle will fit my arabian?? i am a first time saddle buyer.
The ONLY way you will know if a saddle will fit is to try it on in advance.
If your buying online, get a 30 day warranty to make sure.
I highly recommend, hauling your horse to a place to try saddles on or getting the 30 day warranty, I know country supply offers one for online purchases.

17.3hh Warmblood, needs perfect western saddle fit?
I have measured her gullet size to be 7.5inch, and I was thinking that a full quarter bars, withan 8inch gullet would fit perfectly, but I wanted to get a few knowledgeable horse people's opinions...
Heres a pic of her, she has a long back, and is built pretty thick...
I would really like to hear from someone that has a Warmblood, and rides western..

heres whats eating me.... I use a qhorse bars, 8 inch gullet saddle now, and have for the last 3months... when it is on her back (without a saddle pad) it sits perfectly rounded, but the only thing is, the front where the gullet is, is actually too wide.
My previous horse, was a grade racing quarter horse, and she was wider in the back, and shoulders, and I used a qhorse bars saddle, and it fit her good... mercy is narrower, in the shoulders, and back... what do I do?!
Without seeing it it is hard! I suggest calling your local saddle fitter! Hope I helped and best of wishes!
