Western Saddle Trotting tips Please?
Okay so I have been trying to learn how to trot a thousand times and I can't. I don't know why though I always end up falling out of the saddle. My cousin (who teaches me to ride) tells me to sit back in the saddle and relax but I can't. What should I do to stay in the saddle and relax so I can learn tort?
First of all make sure that your stirrups are at the right length, i'm sure your trainer has addressed that. Make sure that you aren't gripping with your knees and that your heels are down. Sit deep in the saddle and try to relax. Eventually you will get used to it. You may want to try in on a lunge line that way you don't have to worry about steering and can just get used to it.
