On a horse search, care to help?
So I don't need advice on how to buy one and what question to ask. I've been through this before. I've been riding for 9 years and showing for 5, I know what I'm doing haha I also have an instructor that will be helping me. But my thing is I need to find a horse. I've looked all over, but have done a lazy search. Dreamhorse, equine, equnienow etc... So if you guys like searching for horses then that would be GREAT if you would like to help me.
I'm looking for a western pleasure horse, or prospect. Must have sold walk, trot canter. Doesn't have to be western speeds yet. Taller than 15hh and within 50-75 miles of 98272 Nothing over $900 please. No gaited horses and no grades.

Actually no. I am fine getting one that has no training for western pleasure and training it myself (with my instructor). You are a rude man, and I'm sure most peopl would agree. Perhaps you should think before assuming things.
Try an auction, preferably one of those monthly ones that people dump horses at. Since you have so much experience and a trainer with you, you should be able to sort through the junk and find something that someone just can't afford to keep any more. And the price should be well within your budget. Of course, you may have to make a couple stabs at it to get a good one, but I bought a DARLING of a 4 yo. bay gelding two years ago with a few minor bad habits (he doesn't respect anyone who will let him walk ahead of them on a leadrope and he was biting and kicking at everyone as a result. One 3 minute argument was all I had with him.) and I've got a horse I can do anything from Mounted Shooting to Drill Team to trail riding to ranch work to ponying a colt on. And he cost me . . . . ready . . . . $300. The market's even lower now. A young friend bought a plain sorrel 5 yogelding - kind of an ugly little horse, but REALLY sweet - that he's now rodeoing on for . . . . $150. He would have made a GREAT western pleasure horse.
So that's my recommendation - go to the sale barn and see what you can pick up.

UPHA 2010 Western
Western pleasure? Andalusian?
So I am going into a Andalusian breed show in a few days, I'm mostly an English rider.
But I do do Western.
I know for Quarter horses they want a well gaited horse, that listens and makes the rider look like it's doing nothing but enjoying the ride.
Usually a slow lope and such, would an Andalusian judge like higher movements ?
I'm really not sure so anyone with show business or any advice on how to do well would be appriciated.

I would think that you would be correct, but I would advise you to get a rulebook and be sure. There are so many good horses our there that you will be competing against, you need to know the finer points on which your horse will be judged. It would stand to reason that you are correct in your assumption, but I would call the assoc. and ask them to send you a rule book containing points on which the different classes are judged. You cannot be too prepared...
