Why Does Windows 7 Ultimate Take Long To Start Up (10 Points For Best Answer)?

My windows 7 used to boot up so fast now it takes up to 20 minutes i done a system clean up and still it continues it just shows a black screen and takes long to load. what can the problem be because i tryed everything and i will be so happy if u can fix it

why wont city of heroes load to the login screen? after i click next on the updater i just get a black screen?
I recently upgraded my dell dimension 3000 to vista ultimate. I installed city of heroes and once it was fully updated, clicked "next". When I try to play City of Heroes, it will not load past the updater. I click next and the screen just turns black and my mouse shows a vista loading icon. I cant reach the login screen
here is what i have tried so far:
starting the game in safe mode
Run as administrator
set compatibility mode to xp sp2
disabled desktop composition
i've tried disabling "User Account Control"
I have a BFG Nvidia GeForce 5500 256mb with drivers: 96.85
any help would be much appreciated..
Vista does indeed run City of Heroes. I run on Vista myself, and know many others who do.
Have you tried deleting and re-installing the game?
I must confess, I've never personally seen this problem.
My next step (if that doesn't work) would be to contact PlayNC for support.

Oh, and make sure that you give CoH all permissions with whatever firewall you are using. Zone Alarm has kept me from completing the connection more than once (especially after CoH updates and patches). And you can't see that it's another program that has stopped you. ctrl-alt-del and bring up the task menu, to see if your firewall is asking you for permission where you can't see it.
