Western Saddle......?
I am really struggling to find a reasonably priced western saddle that would fit my rather chubby cob (he wears a wide English saddle). Must be available in the UK and preferably leather. Also a I can't find a leather black western full size bridle. Anyone know of any?
I do not know anyone else who rides western so can't borrow saddles to work out the fit.
I have checked ebay and they are all too cheap so I doubt they are good quality.
When I say rather chubby it means a (currently) overweight shire x irish cob.
He is very round and wears a wide / extra wide saddle.
I'e checked Statelinetack some saddles there I really like but don't know if they would ship to uk.
You want a saddle with full QH bars and at least a 7in gullet. Any type will work but I would go for pleasure or trail saddle. Then you will want a longer cinch. They generally don't come with one.
