What colors should I use to paint my woodland camo?
Ok so I'm going to be painting my paintball mask so it can look cooler and possibly let me blend more with my surroundings while paintballing. I think I'm going to go with a digicamo pattern, I'm not sure yet. But I have about 6 rustoleum colors in my garage and don't know which ones to go with because I want to use them all but I know I can't or it will look like crap. The six colors are: Green, Tan, Brown, Hunt Club Green (Like a deep forest green mixed with a type of olive almost), Dark Khaki, and a light Saddle Brown color. Here's a pic of where I mainly play: http://itch20.tripod.com/cgi-bin/topgungully.jpg and another different one: http://www.topgunpaintball.com/images/photosvalley-bridgeopt.jpg.....Not every field is fully brown or fully green. Some are with green leaves but also a lot of twigs and trees. But some of them have a lot of grass and leaves and vice versa. So what do you guys think? Which 3-4 colors should I go with? Also do I go light to dark or dark to light?
You could probably get away with using just equal parts of the olive green and dark khaki. That's how I painted my mask. You could also use Hunt club, dark khaki, and tan. The other colors would also do fine, but I recommend against brown. It may make you look too dark and increase your contrast. A common mistake people make is that they think darker is safer and less visible. As for the pattern, it doesn't really matter as long as it's broken up well. Whatever style you prefer. Digital and Flecktarn are both nice.
For the rest of your body, a ghillie suit is of course, your best option for camouflage, but if you don't want to be burdened by one of those, these colors you have will do fine for your clothing. Just make sure that you are covered in them head to toe. Little things like exposed skin and hair, jet black gloves and boots, and an un camouflaged gun will make you stand out more. Make sure everything is camo or at least a medium neutral color.
For example, These guys are doing it badly-
