How much are, horse brushes, the girth, hoof pick, tack cleaner and, the tack cover?

These things are going to vary ALOT depending on where you buy them and what exactly you get.

Has any teen ever bought there own horse before?

im saving up to buy a horse, with out a job.. only babysitting every once and a while. i have a little more than $400, im saving up to $800 for the tack in total (like: saddle, saddle pad, girth, bridle, bit, blanket), is that too much money for the tack or not enough? this is my first horse, so nothing fancyy. after i have that money saved upp, then im starting my horse money pile, im gonna try to save up $2,000 (yikes!). my instructor said that my first horse should'nt be too expensive, again im not looking for a fancy smanshy showing, jumping horse. just a first, good, safe, horse. im going to trail ride, and ride in an arena also. western, and small shows. i am going to get a job once the school year starts again, so that'll help with my saving, and board too. does that sound like a good plan? are my tack and horse costs about right? ps, ive been riding for 6 years, and im a junior in high school

Yes, my mom and my aunt both bought their own horses! They had to pay for EVERYTHING! Vaccinations, tack, boarding, everything. I'm 12 and I used my money to buy my own horse, too! She cost $1,600. Took my whole savings, but it was worth it! $2,000 is plenty for a horse and my saddle cost $500, but it also came with a bridle, bit, and saddle pad. Sounds great, but I don't think you need to save up THAT much money for the tack. My saddle is a Collegiate that you can change the gullet (don't know how to spell that either, or if it's even called that), but point is, those saddles are pretty expensive. Sounds like a great plan though, and best of luck with it! Hope you find a great horse! ☺:)
