Draft Horse Team

Does this sound like a good story?
A soldier traveling with his patrol discovers that his young, illegitimate son is one of the few survivors of a mysterious attack. Without another option, the boy travels with a group of men who barely tolerate his presence. Tensions reach a breaking point when the soldier finally takes a stand against his own team, forcing him and the boy to flee into the night with a sore-footed horse and minimal supplies. They travel through the mountains, their best chance for protection a group of "friends" who may either help them or arrest them. Stripped of his former identity the soldier re-evaluates who he is and what he stands for.
It's a fantasy and there are shapeshifters involved but I won't get into that. Sound interesting at all? I just finished the first draft and appreciate opinions before I invest all that paper in revision
I think it sounds like it could become one of those literature books that we have to read in school (like To Kill A Mockingbird, Romeo & Juliet, etc.).
The story doen't sound like something that would immediately catch my attention, but it sounds like something that I would find interesting after reading it.
Like Twilight. At first, I wasn't interested in it, but after reading the whole thing, I fell in love with it.

I tried to pick up some backs w alot of upside to pair w my horse L.T. I think I got 5 WRs in the top 25.
Let me know what you think.
I have a hard time judging 10 team league teams because I'm used to 12 team leagues but I'll give it a shot. Brees and LT are no doubt your foundations. Good foundation to start with. Colston is great at WR, but is a little risky to have your QB1 and WR1 on the same team. If New Orleans fails to meet expectations (kind of like the Rams did last year), you are in serious trouble. Holmes should be a good WR2. A lot of people love him this year, I just like him and he should be serviceable in the 2 slot. And if he falters, hopefully Bowe or even Curtis or Ward can come through.
Your RB depth is a concern. Forte is in great position to start, but is still unproven and that legendary QB tandem in Chicago isn't going to scare many people, so he might be seeing a lot decks stacked against him in the run game. With McFadden, he's still got Fargas in the backfield in OAK. And if I'm not mistaken, Fargas got a big contract in the off season so he will definitely see his fair share of carries this year. And I just can't see another AP type thing happening just a year later. I saw the Bengals RBs in their preseason game a couple days ago, and Watson and the other guy (sorry forgot his name) looked really good. Gotta think that Rudi's days are numbered.
TE looks decent. I like Scheffler this year, should be a good red zone target for Cutler. But don't forget, Shanahan is always run first in Denver so don't hesitate to scour the waiver wire for a TE early in the season is Scheffler is failing to deliver.
Overall, not a bad team. Great foundation with LT, Brees, and Colston. Should be in good shape if the Saints are in good shape and with a little luck at RB you could have a really good team on your hands. Good luck.
