Did David A get crappy songs last night?
"And So It Goes" by Billy Joel? Oh, come on, Paula! That was a total snoozer. He couldn't do anything with it. "Longer" was the same thing again. He tried to make it his own, but there are just some songs you can't do anything with and these were two of them. At least David chose "With You" to actually get him some votes this week. I thought he did a great job with that. I think, all things considered, David A still managed to perform well last night. However, it's obvious the show is promoting David Cook since he got the best songs to work with. Did anyone else feel this way?
This is the round of competition I hate because the song choices are left to the judges and producers, who, I believe, sometimes sabotage a contestant by picking crap songs. "Longer" was without a doubt, the worst song that could have been chosen for him. There was absolutely nothing he could do with that song and it showed nothing of his range or dynamics as a singer. You are right in that he at least picked an up-tempo song this week to break the mold of the ballad singer. My problem is with the judges. They want contestants to stop being so predictable, but as soon as one does, they are all over them with negativity. And you are right about David Cook as well. He is most certainly daned to win because he was given 2 good songs to work with. I have to say tho, he did not sing them well at all. And as for his last song "Don't want to miss a thing"...I thought it was a mess. He sounded too fast, skipped parts and just was flat, and yet he got rave reviews. I hope David A. makes it thru this week, becuase based on song choices, I don't think he will. That is a shame becuase I really like him.

Why do some celebrities meet their fans after shows, and others don't?
Why do some celebrities meet their fans after shows and others don't?
For example, Celebrities I have seen in the past like Billy West, Jackie Martling, Kevin Smith, and Dave Coulier have all taken the time to meet-and-greet their fans. But I saw Dane Cook once, and after the show, he walked backstage, and kinda stayed there. Why is that? I mean, what else is he going to? Sit in his hotel room for the rest of the day, and doing nothing? I mean, really?
Alot of mucisians have meet & greet tickets for extra money, but as far as comedians I dont know.
If an entertainer is on tour, alot of time they have to make it to the next city in a certain amount of time.
