and what size stirrups should i get (not stirrup leathers) i wear a 6.5 or 7 US size women's size....
I hope you are using these on a synthetic saddle. They will literally eat up a leather one.
The pro are classier looking, but stretch out more quickly. They also seem to run long.
The regular webbers run more true to size, stretch less, but don't look as nice.
Width of stirrups are part of the safety thing. The wider they are, the safer they are. If you were to fall, your foot would come out more easily. When I worked at the tack store, I always recommended at least 4 3/4 for adults. 5 inch is maximum, but they can be difficult to find replacement pads/treads for down the road. 4 3/4 is no problem to get. If you are really into looks, then go for 4 1/2, but also keep in mind that the larger and heavier they are, the easier they are to pick back up if you "loose" a stirrup while riding.

Wintec Pro Isabell saddle?
I have been thinking about getting a dressage saddle, as i like the way I sit in them, and I only currently have an all purpose. I recently got to ride in a Wintec Isabell, and loved it! It was sooo nice, so decided to look into one for my mare.
Does anyone else have one of these? What are your likes/ dislikes? For the ones that do not have the easy change gullet system, are they able to be changed by a saddler? Did you find the equisuede wore out easily?
Thanks!
Back in the early 1990's I by chance ended up with a Wintec Sport and I'll be honest, I LOVED it! However, I did sell it because as you'll learn, they don't shift like your standard saddle tree which normally has some "give" to it (That's why the new interchangeable gullets that a saddler HAS to make the changes to).
I ended up buying a used Stubben Parzival VSD, with it's buttery soft and supple leather which like the Sport allowed me to LOCK on a horse once again and do every stride changes and pivots on the haunches while cantering on the forehand and basically NOT moving.
I went with Stubben because my old Siegfried, which I still have, will be 40 years old next year and it's seen me through a LOT. I somehow wonder if a Wintec would last those same 40 years.
