Tack Setup

Tack Setup
How does this setup sound?

How does this sound to acoustically treat my room and soundreduce it a little for recording vocals, I'm just trying to have fun, But i do hope to become a singer so yea.
Carpet layed over a layer of ceramic tiles, insulated with fiberglass/roxul with 5/8" drywall, and if i have enough money, maybe 2 layers of drywall with quiet glue/green glue in between. same for ceiling. one layer for ceiling though.

And then for acoustic treatment, well, I think wouldn't the bass traps for the corners be better then those chameleon bass traps, since i read that they tend ot hang out in corners?? and they're cheaper..., and then i will have some acoustic foam tacked to the wall, and a diffusor. So far so good???
Oh and, I;m not having windows actually, but i will have a air conditioner, but i can always unplug it.=]]

Sounds like you have all your bases covered. This may be minor but if there will be any furniture in the room instead of choosing hard-surfaces (wood, plastic, metal) I would imagine upholstered furniture would absorb more sound and thus reduce the noise levels in the room.

Good luck.

Cab Roof on Dodge Trucks?

Hi Everyone,

My old Ford F-150 had a double cab roof--in inner and an outer. I'm trying to find out whether or not my Dodge (its a 1997 1500 Ram) has the same setup, or if the roof is just one layer of metal. Does anyone know? If it is a double, is it safe to tack-weld to the inside of the bottom roof? I assume it wouldn't be with a single roof.

I have a 95 Dodge Ram 1500, and it has a double roof, be careful welding though the metal is really thin.
