Synthetic vs Leather Saddles?
I was curious the pros and cons of each. I love my synthetic, but have heard alot of people bashing them.
So please enlighten the pros and cons of each.
I personally dont show - so thats not a big concern on my part.
I was thinking if they had poor effects on horses or sorts?
I agree with most of what everyone has said so far. I have both leather and synthetic saddles. My oldest is my leather dressage saddle which I have had for at least 10 years now. It is super comfy but beat to heck from years of trail riding. It also only fits two of my horses. My newest leather saddle, I bought last year and it is for showing only. It will never see the woods, ever! =) I have a synthetic western saddle which I use for the occasional trail ride or when I give pony rides. I also have a wintec jumping saddle that is my current everyday saddle. It is pretty comfy for me and my horses. I especially love that with a little switcheroo it will go from fitting my Arab to fitting my Clydesdale. My wintec has the cair pannels and although I just bought it this past summer, I have yet to have any horses with sore backs.

Does anyone know any synthetic GP saddles without suede bits on?
Yes, you can het synthetic saddles that have no sueade on them. They are leather look. I have had one from 'Wintec' in the past just for schooling, as i hate competing in synthetic saddles out of preferance.
Avoid Hilason saddles at all costs. They're not good quality treeless saddles at all.
