What are they? Why can't we just look through a regular telescope?
They use Chandra X-ray
They use Spitzer Infrared
They use Hubble Visible Light
They also use Ground Base Telescopes
They put them all together on top of each other

Help me make a cool teaching tool for an english unit about pop stars?
hello all! i'm working on a technological (read powerpoint/flash) resource to give to a yr 8 class about popstars. ideas where to look? anything to do with pop stars, history, music or culture would be good too!
does anyone have any suggestions/good ideas about i could include? also, if you know any 'so hot right now' pop stars, let me know... i'm gathering ideas - perhaps a mini case study? 
anything you say will be appreciated!
How about the American Billboard site? They have a list of all the Top 40 tracks since the listing began - 1950s, I think.
I'm sure there's a similar one for the UK. Radio 1, perhaps? Or the Pepsi Chart?
You could talk about how music might have changed, but the young, rebellious nature of pop and rock n roll hasn't. Help your Year 8 students to understand where the music and celebrities they look up to today came from. Elvis - Beatles - Rolling Stones - Wham - Take That - Spice Girls - Jonas Brothers/Miley Cyrus. It's all one big fat progression...!
