Saddle and tack cleaning/care help?
i rubbed all the shiny top coat/polish-y stuff off one side of saddle with bad half chaps. i think i scratched the entire side as its no longer shiny and isn't smooth. leather conditioner darkens it so its the same color as the rest of my saddle. my question: is there any way to make the scrathed part shiny like the rest of my saddle? if so, what product ahould i get? (i have lexol quick wipes and lexol conditioner)
If you just look for a oily saddle cleaner (normally comes in a spray bottle) an rub that on there let it sit for awhile you should just be able to rub off the excess an itll look better you wont be able to get it to look brand new again though that just comes with leather! hope this helped!

please just leave this poor horse alone until you get proper fitting tack, you have no idea what youre doing. If you think cantering around in circles isnt going to improve her training, why dont you realize riding her in ill fitting bits isnt a good idea.
if youre too afraid to get on the horse bareback without her being tied up in cross ties you have no business being on her back. id rather have a horse take off with me half on than have one freak out in crossties.
no pushing around on her back and sides is not a good practice, what do you expect that to achieve? youre just going to irritate the crap out of her, i cant blame her for wanting to bite you. she knows you dont know what your doing.
go on youtube and watch some videos on groundwork to get an idea of what you can be doing with her until her tack arrives. good grief i hope you people dont ruin this horse.
how do you expect to show her in med-high level shows when you yourself sound like a total beginner. she sounds like a good horse, and i feel really sorry for her for falling into your hands.
