would u purchase a saddle online?

would u purchase a saddle online if u knew wht size u needed? lets say a 16" saddle. u found one u like and its a 16". u cant do a trial round b/c its shipped. would u? what has your experience been? thnx

knowing the seat size isn't enough.

that's fine for you, but what about the horse? what about GULLET size? what about the tree? Does your horse need a narrow tree? A wide tree? An extra wide tree? what about the length? is your horse a short backed horse? long back? etc...

Ordering online can be a pain if you get the saddle that fits you but not your horse. You will have to pay for return shipping.

I have bought 2 saddles online without any trouble. Once I knew my horse's measurements, and such, then I got a saddle that fit us both. When I had to buy a different type of saddle for a different type of horse, I found one and bought it.
The first was from horsesaddleshop.com and the other was from a consignment store.

I had great service from both. One saddle was $1300 and the other was $1700.

Just be 100% sure that the site is real and Google reviews for that site to see what others have to say if there's any reviews....

Stay away from ebay unless you are buying from a "superstar" seller. They must have nearly 100% positive reviews and have thousands of sells. If not, forget it. You can get ripped off easily by someone who's never sold anything before.

Stay with the typical sites. http://horsesaddleshop.com is a very well known site and well established. So is Horse.com, ....Dovers, ...
