Is this a good horse for me?
I have been looking for a horse for me. My family, trainers, and other horsey people i know agree that i am ready for a horse. What do you think of these horse i have found? I do not like a specific horse in the ad, and i have not seen the horses in life yet but i would like to get other peoples opinions on them before i go over there as i do not live in phoenix and that is where they are located. I will mainly be doing western pleasure, barrels and trails.

I think that this ad raises way too many flags.
"I am moving and have two older quarter horses I need to find a good home for."
There is no specific age on these horses. While older horses are typically calmer, there is no past history that would state these horses are beginner safe, other than the word of the seller. There is also no specific age which is a huge red flag, how do you know that these horses really aren't 28 years old? The one horse looks underweight or has zero muscle mass on it's hind end. Depending on the health of either of these horses, they may not be physically capable of doing what you're looking to do, specially barrel racing, unless you have no intentions of going faster than a walk.
"One is a White with gray underline dapple and the other is black."
There is no such thing as a white horse with underline dapple. A white horse is an older grey horse. Grey horses can and will become more and more white appearing with age. This just seems that this seller's horse knowledge may be very limited.
"They are great for kids and unexperienced riders."
Why are they such great kids horses? My horse is a great kid's horse! She loves children! I would not put a young child on her because she's green broke. I would demand more of an explanation as to why these horses are considered "child proof." Hell, any history of training/experience on these horses would be welcome.
If you even consider these horses you will bring a vet out with you that is in no way, shape or form associated with this seller. Make sure that the horses are inspected up and down, inside and out, and especially have their ages checked.
Really though, in my opinion, I'd steer clear. There's plenty of other horses out there that cost next to nothing. The price may seem right with these two horses since the seller doesn't even have a set price, but if they are elderly horses with medical issues then you'll be paying much, much more in the long run.
