Sanding Guitar Neck Heel?

Alright, I have a Squier Mini with a neck that comes upward of the body too much, causing Fret Buzz. I've tried raising the bridge saddles as high as possible and mess with the nut but none of it works. Been thinking about sanding the neck or adding Nickels to the Bridge(Hardtail Bridge). What to do?

It sounds like your neck is bowing backwards. You should take your guitar in for a setup. If you want to tackle the truss rod, you should remove the truss rod cover (or remove the neck if the access is at the heel) and turn the truss rod counter clockwise about 1/4-1/2 a turn. You will not see a different if there is no string tension on it. But if you raised the bridge, your intonation is off as well now. You can probably find some videos on YouTube showing how to do a setup. I would suggest going to a local mom & pop music store and getting a setup, and offering the tech a few $ to let you watch him do it so you can learn for future reference.

DO NOT SAND YOUR HEEL!!!!

You can also visit Fenders website where they tell you how to do a setup on a strat. Obviously you don't need to pay attention to the tremolo section, but the rest of it will apply.

Judgement on credit- Minnesota?

We have a judgement on credit for a guy who took money from our saddle club account. He promised to pay it back but it has been over two years and we have not seen a nickel. We've been told there is nothing we can do at this point since we don't know where he banks and as far as we know he has no job. However, he must be making some money because he's not homeless! Is there any further action we can take?

You could try taking him back to court to make him list his assets so you could find something to attach.

You could also check with a collection agency. Some will take a percentage to collect and some will buy the judgment -- at a very discounted rate, of course.
