Horse show???.........?

have been riding since i was 5, i am now 16 and have 7 of my own horses. I go to a trainer once a week and bring one of them with me everyweek, and i ride at home where i have a little ring with jumps and lots of trails.

If you jump to 2'6" at home, do 2' classes at shows and a flat class. You are always supposed to school higher than you show. That's to make sure that you're 100% solid on the level you show at. For example, if someone knew how to walk, trot, and canter, at a show they'd just do a walk/trot class.

Get the prizelist (schedule) for the show. It will have a list of the divisions and what height the fences are. I recommend doing the whole division, which usually consists of one or two flat classes (classes with no jumping) and then two jump courses. At local schooling shows, which you will probably be doing, the divisions aren't really formal.

Most of the people your age will probably be doing the pre-children's division. Talk to your trainer and find out what classes best suit your riding level.

It might be a good idea to take your horse to a show but not enter in it before actually entering a show. Take your horse there and practice going over the jumps. Then next time, the two of you will be more prepared for a show.

Any help to get a new horse?

I love horses to death, but my parents say we don't have enough land, does anyone have any suggestions as to getting them to let me board at a boarding stable or anything like that? I would kill for a horse and I know a lot about them I can ride, groom, care for and do everything for a horse and it's not like I'd show I just want a trail horse to have as a friend! DOes anyone have any suggestions, all are appreciated.

My parents always told me that I couldn't have a horse too.. But when I turned 18 I went and got one myself. and they couldn't really do anything about it. I boarded it at my firends house. See if any of your friends will let you board at their house and that would be cheaper for you. I'm sure they wouldn't charge you as much as a stable you don't know the people. Good luck!!!!
