Whats the best way to replicate tiger stripe camo spray painting a rifle?
I've got some ideas using masking tape, but I don't have anything solid. I'll be using Krylon
black, tan, green, and brown all in matte finish if it matters how I'll be applying it.
Yeah, you're right about the masking tape. Do the background color/s first, let them dry for 12-24 hours (more if it's humid outside) and then cover parts with masking tape. The covered parts will be the color of the background when you're done. Then spray with the color you want the stripes to be.
Another technique is to cut stripes into a piece of posterboard or cardstock with an exacto knife to make a stencil. Tape your stencil down and go crazy with it.
If you're nervous about messing up your gun, find a scrap piece of cardboard or wood to practice making stripes on before you do the real thing.
