Endurance Saddles
Best saddles for long distance riding?
I am going to need a trail saddle for doing competitive trails/endurance and just riding on the trails and arena at my barn. I want a western or "endurance" styled saddle. The horses I'm looking at are all either arabians, arab x stock horses, gaited horses, and appaloosas. So different saddles for those different shaped horses are welcome. Some I have looked at are imus, circle y, abetta, and tucker.
I want it to be light weight (definately not more than 28lbs) and under $2000.

Well, you're looking in the right places!! I've had really good luck with Circle Y saddles! I actually bought a barrel saddle just to use for gaming and rodeos, but now I use that saddle for trail riding, training horses, riding my pleasure horse during off season, gaming/rodeos, even in pleasure at fun shows, and for just riding for fun at home! It's super comfortable and light weight!! And I've used it on many different breeds!!
They also just have saddles for trail riding and Arabians specifically.
My best bet would be to go with a Tucker or at least really look at some! When I was looking for a saddle for my dad as a birthday present, I looked at mainly Tuckers (since all he does is trail ride and farm work lol) and was really impressed with how comfortable those babies were! I couldn't find any that were that light weight that I can remember, but Tucker is a very well known trail saddle producer!! They also just have saddles specifically for endurance!
Remember to look at your local tack shops too! Saddles there are usually more cheaper and it's nice since you get to go and see if it fits you there! Be sure that you can send a saddle back if it doesn't fit you or your horse (whether your going to try one from a store or from online). Hope this helps!
