What size headstall should I get?
I have a pretty big TWH that requires a 5 1/2 inch bit. So I ordered a regular sized bridle for her online but it turned out to little. Do you think that I should get her a draft sized headstall? I'm pretty sure that it would fit her length wise but what about width wise (since she isn't as big as a lot of draft breeds but has a rally long head)? What do you think?
Well, you really can't get anything in between standard and draft, so you'll have to go with draft. Don't worry though, if standard is to small, draft is probably going to work.

Riding first time without a bit
My draft mare keeps getting her tongue over the bit.?
Anybody with similar problems. I have even used a high port bit. I'm sure the adjustment on the bridle is correct. She just seems to not like anything in her mouth. The vet says her teeth are fine too.
I agree with the poster who said a bit with a roller. That is what I was going to say! It may be she likes to play with her tongue.
