Can you make an English seat cushion?
I am currently looking for a new saddle as I have stated in my other question but for the time being I have to stick with my cheap AP saddle. It is not made very well and the seat is VERY hard. So until I find the $ and the saddle I want I would like to cushion up my seat just a little bit. Saddle cushions online are to me not worth the $26 they charge. IMO I could make one for cheap. Do you think I could? And if so what kind of materials would you use? Would something like this be an okay material to put inside of say a fleece cover?

I would of course cut it down to size but do you think this would make my saddle a little more comfortable?
That may alter your position too much, I would go with finding a sheepskin wooly matterial and sewing a nonslip matterial onto the bottomside of it. and then figuring out how to adhere it to your seat.

What should I sell this saddle for?
I have an western saddle that its time to sell. Its old, but don't know exactly how old (supposedly the company that made it stopped making saddles in like 1957, so if thats true then its at least 53 yrs old). Its an old time cutting style saddle I believe. It's a 14 inch seat, over all is in pretty decent condition, and is quite comfortable.
These pics are from when I first acquired it after it sat in an old barn for years and years. Its been cleaned & oiled and looks much better now.
Just curious, what do you think its worth?
LEGIT Q: Does anybody ever get to go swimming with their horses? How did your horse react the first time you rode them into the water?
I would pay about $100 - $150 for it, and yeah, i go swimming with my horse, and he would NOT! go into the water with me on his back, but i got off and lead him into it and then he was really good, and enjoyed it alot! although I much say he kindof failed at it! haha
