I want to purchase a custom built PC?
I'm looking for a custom built all-round PC (Internet/gaming). What are the ideal specs for the best performance should i be looking for, like for example; brand name/speed of memory, cache size's, RAM size, processors AMD/Intel, brand name/size of hard drive (Western Digital/Seagate), graphic's and sound cards etc. Also, money isn't really an issue too. All infomataion and opinions are welcome.

Ok before I start I don't want to be a hater, but all the people who said Alienware need a slap, yes they have high end parts but they're pretty much premade, and cost a fortune. You could build a custom computer with the sames specs as an Alienware and saves hundreds. The only thing you pay for with an Alienware is the case, and it's not even that nice.
First off, names of companies(top ones anyway).
For the Motherboard ASUS, is a really good make, with great mobos.
For the CPU(Processor) Intel is the way to go, they're a little bit more expensive than AMD but their CPU's are miles ahead, and they have also released their latest CPU's the Core i7 one. The more cache the better, it makes the CPU alot faster.
For the RAM, well there's a few good manufactures, Corsair & OCZ are 2 of the best. RAM is like a secondary cache, slower than the one on the CPU, but more of it increases speed.
HDD(hard disk drive), well Seagat and Samsung are 2 good ones, but the more expensive WD Raptors perform the best, I think they're similar to SSD - Solid State Drives. The WD Raptors come in smaller sizes than most HDD's, a 150GB Raptor could cost about £130 where as a 500GB Samsung or other could cost £60, the Raptors are 10k RPM while every other is 7,200RPM and less, high number increases load speeds.
For the Graphics well, ATI & Nvidia are dominate, you can't go wrong with either one really. Ati 4870x2 is the best card out at the minute with the Nvidia GTX280 close behind.
Sound Card, well Creative & Asus are good makes, Creative probably is in control of them though.

Anyway that's all I can think of, note you might want to add a better CPU cooler, the F7P(Freezer 7 Pro) will work great. It's like £15.
Since you said money doesn't matter, you can see these parts are expensive, but they're top of the range.
