Thx for the answer the_samurai_lullaby NOT. i have a discount tack store nearby and the saddle i plan on getting is $340 SO HA. well people i would rele like real answers PLEASE

That really is personal choice. My choice would be to be more concerned about making sure I had as good quality as I could afford, and that everything fits me and my horse. I wanted to have a blue color scheme for my last horse, but found a great pad in a sale that was red, so had to change to red, it was to good a bargain to miss.

If you are able to though, I would probably choose a green.

EDIT
I'd love to see a picture, send it over

How to stay in the saddle on a bucking or rearing horse?

I was bucked off a horse during a lesson, and hurt my back pretty bad. I still have aches from it, even though it happened a few years ago. I stopped riding after that, I was scared to ride. But I had the urge, that I wanted to ride again. In two weeks, I am having a horseback riding party. I just can't keep away from horses. I know I probably shouldn't have stopped riding, and let my fear take over. But I was bucked off. And I think I could over come my fear if I knew what to do if it happened again. If I knew what to do, I think I'd be very comfortable riding again, and possibly feel the way I used to feel. Any tips on what I should do if my horse starts to buck or rear? I hear that if you turn them in a circle, a few times, they can't buck or rear. But I know cows can buck in a circle. Any tips?

When a horse rears lean forward and then take one rein right or left it don't matter and pull out to the side like if you were riding using the direct rein DO NOT PULL BACKWARDS!! the horse will flip over on top of you. horses rarely rear up but always be prepared.

When a horse bucks your adrenaline normally takes over.. When I get bucked while riding i grab the saddle horn (I ride western) and anything that I can stay attached to I grab as tight as I can with my legs and let the horse get the all the bucks out. Just be sure and don't dig your heels in the sidesof the horse. I did that one time by accident and the horsse bucked harder.
