ford exploxer a friend of mines has problems?
my friend has a ford exploxer(1997) and there check engine light was on and flashing but we changed the wires and plugs also we changed the first two 02 sensor on the manifold so what could it be? it vibrate while its idling its dam near 3000rpm just to get to sixty miles per hour plus the catylaic converter is cherry hot which caused for a hole in the exhaust also we took it to autozone and the only thing they came up with was a misfire on 1 and 6 this is my thought could it be a cracked gasket or a bad injector or what about a mass air flow sensor since that souds like a horn when you cut the car on ?(i perfer you to email me at big.monny06@gmail.com thank you
If the catylaic converter is glowing red, that is your problem. The converter is packed full. That also explains the other issues as well. If the exhaust is unable to get out, the vehicle will not run properly, if at all. Get a new catylaic converter.
