Bridle Bit Pad
What else do i need for horse ownership ?

So far i have
Halter
Blanket
Shampoo
Fly spray
Show Sheen
Leg boots
Bell boots
Bandage tape
Grooming brushed
hoof pick
tack cleaning foam
cribing colar(just in case)
Saddle pad
Weave pad
lung whip
lung line
crop
martingale
saddle
bridle
bit
girth
clippers
sweat scrapper
tack sponge.

anything i am missing ?

sounds like a good list!
dont forget the horse haha,
alos i use a hood so my mares bands dont come loose. You may also want to pack some quick wipes for horses. They are just show sheen in wipe forms. its a quick fix when your in the ring and the judge isnt looking, to fix up a small dirt spot or something (a MUST for white horses) Also vasiline on the nose makes your horse look very good, but not to much or he will look greesy, and dont let him nudge you !

good luck !! :)

im sorry i thought you put showmanship lol.

but you will want good grain and hay, a measuring tape that measures weight. Also ointments such as hypataine will come in handy for small scrapes. Plus if you did miss anything, you will realize as you go along.

Horse Show pt 3

What stuff do i need to own a horse?

im getting a horse in may, so im "collecting" things gradually until then
i have:
2 saddle pads
a bridle
a bit- for horse i lease now
a crop
sweat scraper
shampoo/conditioner
detangler
mane and tail strenghthener
grooming supplies
8 polo wraps
a comfort pad
lunge line
fly spray
a bucket
helmet, boots, breeches.
some extra grooming stuff
2 fly masks
saddle soap

and im going to ask some lady who doesnt have horses anymore if i can buy her tack trunk
and vet wrap if i didnt mention it.

i want a list of things i can get that i can use on any horse. so dont say saddle cuz ill need to measure my horse when i get one (:
and i have a muck bucket and lead rope
oh! and two pairs of reins

Don't forget that your bit is going to be like the saddle, it'll depend on the size of the horse. My two wear different sized bits, which makes it very annoying if I'm riding one and pick up the other's bridle.

In the first aid kit that's mentioned above, add some emu oil too it. The oil is great for helping the hair grow back over cuts and stops the scarring.

Your polo wraps you can use as traveling wraps if you find that boots are too expensive. You can use them as a tail bandage too - I find that the tail bandage will often slip if rubbed against, but when I wrap the tail, it holds it better and I can control the pressure.

Buy another helmet, it's always good to have a spare, just in case. Stirrup leathers, you can never have enough of these, keep the tags attached in case they don't go with the saddle you decide on when you have your horse. You mentioned a lunge line, do you have a lunge whip as well?
