Wintec leathers and what model is this saddle?
Just bought my first wintec! I never really liked them but this one was so cheap and SO light! I don't know what model it is, I bartered for it with an antique dealer and they didn't know either. It's a black english saddle and its completely suede. Unfortunatly no leathers, is there a certain kind I can use with it? I feel like leather on black would look weird. Also can anyone tell me what model it is or some way I can tell? Thanks in advance!
If the seat is completely suede it is probably a 2000 if it is an older model or a pro if it is a newer model. You don't say what kind of saddle it is: dressage, GP, jumping etc
As for leathers. It would be best to get synthetic leathers. The Wintec slimline straps are the best to use. They are a bit pricey but they are so thin and sturdy and you cant feel the 'lump' under your leg like with other stirrups. If you are looking for something cheaper; I got a pair of no-name brand synthetic leathers that were really thin. They were great and worked well for a few months until they started stretching. More so on my mounting side, so I had to swap them every week. I eventually saved and got the wintec slimline straps, I've had them for 2 years now and they haven't stretched at all.
